Senior Men's League

In our humble opinion, there’s no better way to kick off a weekend than a Friday night of tennis with the guys. The Senior Men’s League is open to men ages 45 and older and plays on Fridays nights in the summer. Each dual meet consists of four doubles matches, and each season includes seven weeks of regular play followed by playoffs and City Finals for teams that advance to the postseason.

League Details

Each team must have a minimum of 10 men. A player cannot be added to a roster if his dues are not paid. Team placement is determined by previous performance of the team and its current members. If new to an established team, a player’s history can impact the team’s level and is evaluated on a hierarchy of previous league play. League officials look at, in this order, Senior Men's level (most recent past season), Men's level (prior two seasons), Senior Mixed level (most recent past season), Mixed Doubles level (prior two seasons), Senior Day Men's level (prior two seasons). Other league information can be found in the Adult Rules and in the Roster Information Packet found in the ALTA Documents button below.

ALTA Documents

Need ALTA information? You're in the right place for rules, handbooks, guides and season packets that will answer questions and provide necessary instructions for playing ALTA. Document availability is role-based. If you are a captain or other team leader, you will have access to more information than a regular member to help you do your job. ALTA tennis follows the USTA Rules of Tennis found in Friend at Court. ALTA pickleball follows the USA Pickleball Official Rulebook.  You should also consult ALTA's rules for specific guidelines concerning league play and other ALTA-sponsored events. Those rules provide information on ALTA-specific regulations, such as default, forfeiture, retirement, scheduled match, sandbagging, inclement weather, rules specific to each league and the Junior Challenge Ladder.
