Men

There’s an old ALTA joke that the only food you’ll find at a Men’s League match consists of beer and donuts. Don’t believe it. You’re more likely to find brats on the grill and a keg on ice. (OK, so maybe that part of the joke is true.) If that sounds like fun to you, consider forming a new team or joining an established one. The Men’s League, open to adult members 18 and older, competes on Saturdays in spring and fall. Each dual meet consists of five doubles matches. Each season includes seven weeks of play followed by playoffs and City Finals for teams that advance to the postseason. Teams are formed and managed by individual members and play out of ALTA-approved facilities, including tennis centers, private clubs and neighborhoods. Each team must have a minimum of 12 men.

Men's League

Once registered, teams will be assigned a level/flight by the league vice president and placed in a division with a schedule of play for the season. Playing levels include AA, A, B and C ensuring a competitive, fun experience for all players regardless of ability.
Other league information can be found in the adult rules and in the roster information packet found in Resources & Calendar. Can also be accessed by Go to ALTA Documents button below.

ALTA Documents

Need ALTA information? You're in the right place for rules, handbooks, guides and season packets that will answer questions and provide necessary instructions for playing ALTA tennis. Document availability is role-based. If you are a captain or other team leader, you will have access to more information than a regular member to help you do your job. ALTA follows the USTA Rules of Tennis found in Friend at Court. You should also consult ALTA's rules for specific guidelines concerning league play and other ALTA-sponsored events. Those rules provide information on ALTA-specific regulations, such as default, forfeiture, retirement, scheduled match, sandbagging, inclement weather, rules specific to each league, Senior Leagues, Junior Leagues and Junior Challenge Ladder.
