ALTA Foundation

The ALTA Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 organization, has been in existence since 1986. It was created by ALTA to promote health, character, sportsmanship, and responsible citizenship by using the game of tennis to support, not only amateur tennis athletes, but programs for the disadvantaged, the physically and mentally challenged, and to provide new opportunities for under-served youth and other tennis programs. Through the foundation's grant and scholarship offerings, thousands of adults and juniors have had the opportunity to participate, introducing them to a game we love. Additionally, foundation program sponsorships help teach life lessons, keep kids off the streets, and create after school safe-haven environments for at-risk populations. For more information about supporting the ALTA Foundation as a donor or volunteer, contact Cameron Turner, 2024 ALTA Foundation President via email at or call 770-399-5788, EXT. 126.

ALTA Foundation Grants

The ALTA Foundation is dedicated to making a profound impact within our community by providing generous grants that benefit thousands of individuals throughout the year.  Our mission is to support programs that enrich the lives of youth and special athletes within the ALTA community, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.  Among the many initiatives supported by the ALTA Foundation are vital organizations such as Georgia Special Olympics, Special Pops Tennis, AYTEF, BlazeSports America, The Shepherd Center, and the Center for Movement Challenges.  Additionally, we proudly sponsor multiple wheelchair clinics, tournaments, and events, ensuring that individuals of all abilities have access to the resources they need to thrive.  Through our collective efforts, we are transforming lives and creating a more vibrant and inclusive community for all.

Application Timeline:  The Foundation administers six grant cycles annually.  Applications are accepted year-round.  However, those submitted past a cycle's deadline will be reviewed in the subsequent grant cycle.
