Players & Leagues

ALTA’s history goes back to the 1930s, when we were known for our top-flight tournaments. And, so it went, until the 1970s, when one visionary member got the idea to create league play for those of us who weren’t quite up to that level of tennis. Now, ALTA truly is “Where Atlanta Comes To Play.” We’ve grown to 13 recreational leagues for all ages and levels, and our members play tennis winter, spring, summer and fall at facilities all over the metropolitan area. And it’s not just about tennis. It’s about food, fun and friendship. It’s about hospitality and sportsmanship. And you won’t find it anywhere else. Other cities can say they have tennis, but none of them has anything quite like ALTA.

Junior Leagues

Boys and girls ages 7 to 18 compete in spring and fall on teams, according to gender, age, and ability level. Competing on an ALTA team teachers your child sportsmanship and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Best of all, it's a great way for them to make new friends and have fun. The annual membership is $15.00 for each player.
